On 9/15/2010 Honeywell purchased Sperian Protection S.A. After purchase, Honeywell discovered, and disclosed on 9/2/2011, that Sperian had not submitted Tier II forms for lead acid batteries and sulfuric acid stored at its Grove City and Platteville facilities and for diesel fuel stored at the Grove City facility for calendar years 2008, 2009 and 2010. Honeywell met the conditions for a 100% reduction in gravity based penalties pursuant to EPA's Self-Disclosure Policy, so a Notice of Determination was issued.
