Case summary

This CAFO will resolve the violations alleged in the February 8, 2010, Notice and Finding of Violation (NOV/FOV) issued to CLI regarding the facility’s failure to properly operate equipment to control landfill gas, exceeding permitted sulfur dioxide emission limits, and causing numerous odor complaints, in violation of the facility’s Title V operating permit, the Illinois SIP, and the CAA. This CAFO was negotiated with CLI representatives and will require the implementation of a detailed compliance program as outlined by the ACO signed on 7/22/2011.
