Case summary
Administrative Order (AO) issued on May 12, 2010 for failure to comply with Ground Water Rule requirement to collect from system's two wells within 24 hours of being notified of an April 1, 2010 total coliform-positive sample and to provide public notice within 48 hours of the failure to sample. The AO requires system to collect at least one E. coli sample from each of the systems two wells within 24 hours of receipt of AO, and provide public notification to customers that system did not collect an E. coli sample from each ground water source in use at the time of the April 1, 2010 routine total. The water system complied with the AO by collecting an E. coli sample from its East and West wells on May 14, 2010, and provided public notice of the violation cited in the AO. A letter terminating the AO was issued on June 16, 2010.
