EPA v. ROHRER CORPORATION NOTICE OF DETERMINATION

Case summary

On August 4, 2008 Rohrer voluntarily disclosed that the Rohrer Corporation in Huntley, Illinois may have violated the Clean Air Act, the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, the Federal Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act, Illinois laws, and the rules adopted thereunder. EPA has determined that, based on the information provided by Rohrer, Rohrer's self disclosure comports with the requirements in EPA's audit policy, and thus civil, and gravity penalties that EPA would otherwise seek for these violations will be waived. U.S. EPA issued a Notice of Determination to Rohrer on June 12, 2009.
