Case summary

On March 24, 2005, Thermal Chicago Corporation (Thermal) submitted a self-disclosure notice for their facility in Chicago, Illinois. During an internal audit, Thermal discovered possible violations of their Title V permit, including requirements to file Annual Emission reports, pay annual emission fees, the proper operating and construction permits for the facility's boilers. On August 21, 2008, EPA responded to the self-disclosure by stating that EPA does not intend to pursue additional actions to resolve the self-disclosed violations at this time.
