The settlement addresses Clean Air Act (CAA) violations at CountryMark’s petroleum refinery located in Mount Vernon, Posey County, Indiana. This settlement will be the 32nd settlement reached under the EPA’s National Petroleum Refinery Initiative (Refinery Initiative) and is similar in all material respects to previous Refinery Initiative settlements, covering all four “marquee” CAA issues addressed under the Refinery Initiative. Further, CountryMark spent $111,666 on a state SEP in Posey County, Indiana.
