EPA Settles with Precision Metalsmiths, Inc., in Cleveland, Ohio for RCRA Violations On May 22, 2006, U.S. EPA Region 5 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) against Precision Metalsmiths, Incorporated, for the failure to comply with hazardous waste management procedures at its facility located in Cleveland, Ohio. In particular, the Respondent was cited for storing hazardous waste for more than 90 days and improperly labeling hazardous waste containers. Both failures constitute noncompliance with generator conditions for a permit exemption under 40 CFR part 262. The Respondent was also cited for violating certain personnel training and contingency plan requirements, which are required of hazardous waste storage facilities under 40 CFR part 265. A $59,500 fine was assessed.
