Case summary

On Friday, November 25, 2005, Delta Fuels experienced an overflow of 103,000 gallons of gasoline that occurred during a transfer of product from a pipeline which was directed into the wrong tank. The product breeched secondary containment and entered a storm sewer system that flowed directly into the Maumee River. On December 09, 2005, a CWA 311(c) order for cleanup was issued to Delta Fuels, which Delta Fuels signed on December 11, 2005.
