Case summary
Carbit manufactures architectural coatings. During the production years of 1999-2000, 2001, and 2002 Carbit manufactured coatings in violation of the Architectural Coatings Rule. As a result of this action, Carbit corrected past reporting issues and agreed to no longer manufacture any of the noncompliant coatings without first reformulating the products with compliant materials. Actions taken by Carbit will bring the company back into compliance with the rule.
