Case summary
System needs to sample for SOCs, VOCs. lead and copper and provide PN. Elk Automotive delivered the lead public education materials to employees, and submitted a certification of its delivery to U.S. EPA and IDEM and recommendations on how it intended to control corrosion, and/or treat source water to reduce lead levels within the timeframe required by the AO. Elk Automotive also provided public notice for the past monitoring violations, and the failure to comply with lead treatment technique requirements cited in the AO. A letter terminating the AO was issued to the system on 8/20/04.
