THE USEPA REQUESTED INFORMATION FROM THE SPECIALTY PAPERS COMPANY UNDER SECTION 114 OF THE CLEAN AIR ACT ON MARCH 8, 1985. SPECIALTY PAPERS FAILED TO COMPLY WITHIN THE 30 DAY PERIOD. AN INFORMAL CONFERENCE WAS HELD ON JULY 16, 1985 IN ORDER TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT SPECIALTY PAPERS WILL COMPLY WITH SECTION 114 AND WHETHER OR NOT THEY WILL CONDUCT VAPOR COLLECTION EFFICIENCY TESTS ON PRESSES # 7, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15 AND EXTRUDER #2. USEPA GRANTED SPECIALTY PAPERS UNTIL SEPTEMBER 3, 1985 TO DEVELOP, IMPLEMENT, AND SUBMIT TESTS TO THE USEPA WHICH DEMONSTRATE THAT THEIR EQUIPMENT MEETS THE REQUIRED EFFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS OF THE OHIO S.I.P.
