8/6/03 - Notice of Determination issued. By letter dated February 14, 2003, the Environmental Controls Coordinator for Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. (regarding its facility at 90 Highway 22 West, Milledgeville, GA 31061-9699), notified EPA Region IV that Vought had very recently discovered that it was not complying with 40 CFR 82.156(i)(5) - failure to repair leaks in comfort cooling appliances containing more than 50 pounds of a Class II substance -- pursuant to Sectio 608 of the CAA. As explained in the letter dated February 14, 2003, and subsequent correspondence dated June 25, 2003, Vought's Environmental Compliance Coordinator discovered the problem during an annual due diligence review of its environmental compliance on January 29, 2003. Vought immediately corrected the violations, adopted procedures to ensure future compliance with 40 CFR 82.156(I)(5) and promptly informed EPA pursuant to the self-disclosure policy
