Case summary
Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of a misbranded pesticide imported by EarthSafe Chemical Alternatives. through the port of Philadelphia, PA. The shipment contained two pesticides had misbranded labels, in that they did not have the full directions for use, precautionary statement and full address of the producer. It is a violation of FIFRA to sell or distribute misbranded pesticides. The importer must export the pesticide out of the country or destroy it according to state and local regulations, and must provide documentation to Region 3. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture was copied on the NORA. This action supports the Powering the Great American Comeback initiative - Pillar 1: Clean Air, Land, and Water for Every American.
