On November 29, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of an unregistered pesticide imported by British Airways PLC of New York, NY, imported through port of Washington DC (Dulles). It is a violation of FIFRA to sell or distribute unregistered pesticides. The importer must export the pesticide out of the country or destroy it according to state and local regulations, and must provide documentation to Region 3. The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services was copied on the NORA, and FIFRA registration violations are exempt from EJ screen.
