On April 10, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of an unregistered pesticide imported by VWR International, LLC of Radnor, PA through the port of Baltimore, MD. It is a violation of FIFRA to sell or distribute unregistered pesticides. The importer has the option to export or destroy the violative product, and must provide to EPA documentation of the action. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and Maryland Department of Agriculture were copied on the NORA, and FIFRA registration violations are exempt from EJ screen.
