EPA v. RAMSHIELD, LLC

Final Order With Penalty

Case summary

On March 24, 2023, Region III filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order regarding three violations of FIFRA in connection with the distribution and/or sale of unregistered and misbranded pesticides. This enforcement action furthers FIFRA's purpose of promoting environmentally safe and effective pesticide use and prevents the potentially harmful use of pesticides. On April 8, 2021, EPA became aware of the unlawful sale and distribution of the unregistered pesticides, AVF Shield and Cartridge System and 75% Alcohol Wipes, and the misbranded pesticide, MB-10 (EPA Reg. No. 70060-19-46269) through Ramshield's website. The Consent Agreement alleges that Ramshield, LLC violated FIFRA and EPA's Pesticide Program regulations by failing to register and to properly label its pesticides. Under the terms of the settlement, Respondent will pay a civil penalty in the amount of $5,000.00 to resolve these three violations. EPA notified PDA of this action. EPA notified the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture regarding this matter, and the State has raised no objections.
