On May 10, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of a misbranded Fil-Fresh TURE HEPA Filter & ActivatedCarbon Pre-Filter , which determined to be pesticide devices, imported by Amazon Fulfillment Centers through the port of Baltimore, MD. It is a violation of FIFRA to sell or distribute a misbranded device. The importer has the option to export or destroy the product, and they must provide documentation to EPA. The Maryland Department of Agriculture was copied on the NORA, and FIFRA misbranding violations are exempt from EJ screen.
