Case summary
On March 17 Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of misbranded UV Lamp pesticide devices imported by De Nora Water Technologies, LLC through the port of Norfolk-Newport News, VA. It is a violation of FIFRA to sell or distribute an unregistered pesticide. The importer has the option to export or destroy the products and they will be required to provide documentation to EPA. The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services was copied on the NORA, and FIFRA misbranding violations are exempt from EJ screen.
