On February 23, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S.Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of 16 types of unregistered pesticides (disinfectants) imported by Distribuidora Mi Honduras of Rockville, MD through the port of Chester, PA. The shipment contained 16 unregistered disinfectants with the brand names Fabuloso, Ajax, and Axion. It is a violation of FIFRA to sell or distribute an unregistered pesticide. The importer has the option to export or destroy the products and they will be required to provide documentation to EPA. The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the Maryland Department of Agriculture were copied on the NORA, and FIFRA misbranding violations are exempt from EJ screen.
