Case summary
On December 21, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal ofAdmission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of an unregistered pesticide and a misbranded pesticide device imported by Mobile Outfitters, LLC. through the Philadelphia International Airport in PA. The shipment contained a Copper Spray that made antimicrobial claims and was not a registered pesticide, and contained a UV Sterilization Bag that was misbranded. The importer has the option to export or destroy the products and they will be required to provide documentation to EPA. The PennsylvaniaDepartment of Agriculture was copied on the NORA, and FIFRA misbranding violations are exempt from EJ screen.
