Case summary
On October 14, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of a misbranded pesticide imported by Reckitt Beckiser, LLC through the port of Washington DC-Dulles. The pesticides was imported for research and development purposes, but was not labelled in accordance with FIFRA regulations. The importer has the option to export or destroy the pesticide and they will be required to provide documentation to EPA. The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services was copied on the NORA, and FIFRA misbranding violations are exempt from EJ screen.
