Case summary

On December 9, 2021, the Regional Judicial Officer entered a Final Order ratifying a Consent Agreement between EPA and Mars, Roshni and Raj, Inc.( Respondent ), in connection with their underground storage tanks at Respondent's facility located at 5311 Jefferson Davis Highway, Fredericksburg, VA (the Facility ). This CAFO resolves violations of RCRA Subtitle I, and the Commonwealth of Virginia's federally authorized underground storage tank program by Respondent. Under the terms of the settlement, Respondent will pay a civil penalty in the amount of $2,500.00. This action protects the environment from potential releases of regulated substances from UST systems. This is a non-EJ area. The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality has agreed to this proposed settlement.
