EPA v. OLLIE'S BARGAIN OUTLET
Final Order No Penalty
Case summary
On April 8, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of a misbranded pesticide device imported through the port of Balitmore, MD. The misbranded bug zappers were missing required label information, such as the EPA establishment number of the last place of production. It is a violation of FIFRA to sell/distribute pesticides which are not properly labelled (i.e. misbranded). The importer has the option to export the product or destroy it according to state and local regulations.
