On March 16, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admission (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of misbranded UV disinfection lights imported through the BWI Airport, MD. It is a violation of FIFRA to sell/distribute pesticide devices which are not properly labelled (i.e. misbranded) with required information such as the EPA Establishment Number where the item was produced. The importer has stated they will export the devices back to the manufacturer.
