Case summary
On January 28, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admissions (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of a misbranded pesticide device imported by XFactory, LLC through the port of Baltimore, MD. The shipment contained a product called sterilizer box that was not labeled properly and was determined to be misbranded. Sale and distribution of a misbranded pesticide device is a violation of FIFRA. The importer has to export the product back to the manufacturer or destroy it according to state and local regulations.
