Case summary
On January 11, 2021, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admissions (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of a misbranded pesticide device imported by Heraeus Noblelight America, LLC through the port of Washington DC-Dulles. The shipment contained pesticide devices named Commercial Use UV Light- UV Desinfection [sic.] Lamp that were not labeled properly and were determined to be misbranded. Sale and distribution of a misbranded pesticide device is a violation of FIFRA. The importer has stated they will export the product out of the country and back to the manufacturer to be properly labeled.
