Case summary
On September 14, Region 3 issued two Notice of Refusal of Admissions (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of two shipments of a misbranded pesticide imported by Taminico US, LLC through the Philadelphia International Airport. The pesticide Thionic Ziram Technical was missing net contents, an ingredient statement, hazard and precautionary statements, a signal word, first aid directions, directions for use, and proper storage and disposal instructions. Sale and distribution of a misbranded pesticide is a violation of FIFRA. The importer has the option to export or destroy the product.
