Case summary
On July 14, Region 3 issued a Notice of Refusal of Admissions (NORA) to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to refuse admission of a misbranded pesticide imported by Taminico US, LLC through the port of Washington DC/Dulles. The pesticide ?Thionic Ziram Technical? was missing net contents, an ingredient statement, hazard and precautionary statements, first aid directions, directions for use, and proper storage and disposal instructions. Additionally the name on the label had not been approved by the Agency. Sale and distribution of a misbranded pesticide is a violation of FIFRA. The importer has the option to export or destroy the product.
