On December 10, EPA filed an Expedited Settlement Agreement (ESA) with Mr. Eak Tonakarn and Arissa 2 Inc, dba Hillwood Mart based in Arlington and Falls Church, Virginia respectively to settle violations of the Virginia Underground Storage Tank regulations at the Hillwood Mart., located in Falls Church, VA. As a result of this case, Region 3's enforcement team, in coordination with Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, was able to resolve UST violations of tank release detection requirements. Mr. Eak Tonakarn and Arissa 2 Inc., dba Hillwoood Mart. was responsible for a $1,880 penalty as well as compliance with all UST requirements.
