On August 21, the Regional Judicial Officer issued a Final Order accepting the Expedited Settlement Agreement negotiated pursuant to Section 9006 of RCRA to settle violations of RCRA Subtitle I, and Maryland's federally-authorized underground storage tank (UST) program, by NSR Petro Services, LLC. As a result of this case, Region 3's enforcement team in coordination with the Maryland Department of the Environment, was able to resolve the UST violation of failure to maintain financial responsibility for the USTs at the facility. The violation was discovered through information collected during an inspection at the facility on April 18, 2019, and from information provided after the inspection. NSR Petro Services, LLC is responsible for a $600 penalty and has returned to compliance with the violation.
