On May 29, 2019, a CAA 112r AOC between the EPA the Eastman Chemical Resins was entered in Region 3. The AOC provides a timeframe for Eastman to come into compliance with its 112r obligations at its West Jefferson, PA Facility. An inspection of the Facility was conducted by EPA on May 3, 2018. During the inspection EPA identified multiple violations of CAA 112r RMP requirements for the Facility, including the failure to properly identify and mark process piping used to convey hazardous materials in the Facility. The AOC requires that Eastman take specific actions to properly identify and mark process piping and document compliance with the applicable regulations.
