Case summary

Rockydale Quarries Corporation has signed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) and an Administrative Order on Consent (AOC) pursuant to Clean Water Act Section 309 to address their failure to comply with requirements of their Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) Permits at eight facilities in Virginia. EPA and Rockydale Quarries have reached an agreement to settle alleged violations for a monetary penalty of $26,700 in order to promote environmental compliance and public health by deterring future CWA violations by Rockydale Quarries as well as other members of the regulated community.
