Respondent Polymeric Systems, Inc., is a leading manufacturer of specialty adhesives, sealants, epoxies and caulks. Respondent is an area source of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), subject to 40 CFR Part 60, Subpart 7C. Raw materials used by Respondent in the manufacturing of sealants and adhesives emit, or have the potential to emit, heavy metal HAPs as part of its particulate matter emissions (PM) to the atmosphere. Respondent failed to perorm a performance test on a baghouse used to control PM emissions at the Facility, in violation of Subpart 7C.
