Case summary

Respondent, a paint and allied products manufacturer, is an area source hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). Raw materials (pigments) used in Respondent's manufacture of non-stick and medical device 61 coatings contain heavy metals/HAPs, in violation of 40 CFR Part 63 Subpart 76. Respondent also operates one (1) stationary emergency generator RICE engines subject to 40 CFR Part 63, Subpart 46. Respondent failed to change oil and air filters on its engines in accordance with Subpart 4Z; failed to conduct performance tests on control device (baghouse); and failed to complete periodic inspections of the control device and it's ductwork.
