Case summary

On May 16. 2018, an authorized representative of the EPA conducted an inspection of the Giorgi Mushroom Company facility located at 347 June Ave in Blandon. PA (Giorgio Fresh Company), to determine compliance with the Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulations promulgated at 40 C.F.R. Part 68 under Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act (the Acl or CAA). EPA found that the Respondent had violated regulations implementing Section 112(r) of the Act, specifically: (1) the Facility failed to ensure process equipment complies with recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices in accordance 40 C.F.R. 68.65(d)(2). The Facility did not have a safety shower inside the machinery room in accordance with IIAR 2-2014, Section 6.7.1.
