Case summary

On March 2, 2018, Evans Tuning LLC (?Evans?) signed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (?CAFO?) to settle violations of the Clean Air Act (?CAA?). Evans is an automobile performance upgrade sales and installation facility. Evans has sold performance tuners and exhaust emission control device replacement pipes that have the effect of altering the engine?s fueling strategy, or mechanically bypassing vehicle emission controls. The installation and sale of these types of devices is prohibited by CAA sections 203(a)(3)(A) and 203(a)(3)(B).
