On August 10, 2018, Region III issued a Notice of Warning (NOW) to Nalco Company, LLC of Naperville, IL in connection with sales and distributions of a misbranded pesticide Stabrex ST70 from their EPA-registered Ellwood City, Pennsylvania pesticide production establishment. The pesticide was misbranded because it included directions for use that were not included on the EPA-accepted pesticide label. Specifically, the label included directions for use in reservoirs. The NOW requires Nalco to respond within 10 days explaining how they plan to come into compliance with FIFRA.
