Case summary
On May 18,2018, Region 3 issued a Notice of Warning (NOW) to Hydrol Chemical Company (Hydrol) of Yeadon, PA in connection with sales and distribution of a disinfectant pesticide from their EPA-registered Yeadon, PA pesticide production facility. The pesticide differed in composition from the percent active ingredient listed on the label, and was above the upper limit in the Confidential Statement of Formula. The NOW also notifies Hydrol of their sales and distribution of an unregistered pesticide, Metricide 28. Metricide 28 is produced by the Metrex Research Corporation located in CA. The matter of the unregistered pesticide will be referred to EPA Region 9 for further inquiry. The NOW requires Hydrol to come into compliance with FIFRA.
