Case summary
On December 18, 2017, a Notice of Warning (NOW) was sent to American Pool Service, Inc. ( American Pool ) of Wayne, PA for violations of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). Under FIFRA, it is unlawful to repackage a pesticide product into a refillable container unless you have a written contract with the product registrant. An inspection conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture using Federal Credentials revealed that American Pool was repackaging a Sodium Hypochlorite product into smaller containers without a written contract from Buckman's Inc., the product registrant.
