Case summary
On March 22, 2018, EPA and Big 3 Packaging, LLC entered into a SCAFO to resolve the Philadelphia-based company's violation of FIFRA when the company sold Quantum Pleasant, an unregistered pesticide. Big 3 Packaging, a secondary manufacturer and distributor of the pesticide, on three occasions sold the pesticide after the primary manufacturer of the pesticide cancelled the pesticide's registration. In settlement, EPA agreed to Big 3 Packaging's payment of a $13,700 penalty over six months for the violations. No local or other federal agency was involved in this matter and EPA informed the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture of our action on December 13, 2017 with no objections from the State.
