Case summary

On May 24. 2017, an authorized representative of the EPA conducted an inspection of the George's Chicken. LLC facility located at 19992 Senedo Road in Edinburg, VA, lo determine compliance with the Risk Management Plan (RMP) regulations promulgated at 40 C.F.R. Part 68 under Section 112(r) of the Clean Air Act (the Act or CAA). EPA found that the Respondent had violated regulations implementing Section 112(r) of the Act, specifically: (1) Piping penetrations in the walls of the machinery room were not sealed in accordance with IIAR 2-2014. The distance from the termination or the pressure relief device discharge piping for the high pressure receiver to the air intake plenum for the lower level machinery room was less than 20 feet required by IIAR 2-2014. (2) The owner/operator failed to correct the RMP for a change of emergency contact information within one month.
