Case summary
] On December 10, 2013, the Acting Director of the Hazardous Site Cleanup Division signed a CERCLA 106 and 122 Administrative Order on Consent between EPA and the Borough of East Stroudsburg for the implementation of a removal action at the Borough of East Stroudsburgs facility located at 66 Analomink Street, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The Borough, a current owner, previously leased space within the Facility to East Stroudsburg Universitys Center for Research and Economic Development for its Business Accelerator Program. EPA discovered hazardous substances at the Facility after a sublessee abandoned a laboratory space and EPA was notified by the Borough. The Consent Order requires the Borough to implement the corrective measures selected in EPAs May 16, 2013 Request for Funding for a Removal Action and requires the Borough to develop and implement a Response Action Plan in order to eliminate the release or threat of release of hazardous substances at the Facility.
