Region 3 issued a Super Consent Agreement and Final Order (SCAFO) to St. Pauls Church, which is the Local Education Agency (LEA) responsible for AHERA compliance at the St. Pauls Preschool, Greensboro, Md. The LEA failed to comply with certain requirements Asbestos Hazard and Emergency Response Act (AHERA). Specifically, the LEA failed: to take the required bulk samples from each homogenous area; have an appropriate amount of samples taken of the drywall plaster at the school. This was discovered during an inspection conducted On February 26, 2008, by the Maryland Department of Environment (MDE). The LEA took necessary action to come into compliance with AHERA.
