Case summary

On September 5, 2008, the Director of the Land and Chemicals Division entered into a Consent Agreement (“CA”) with AKJK, LLC (“Respondent”), the owner and operator of three underground storage tanks (“USTs”) located at 3011 MLK Jr. Avenue, SE, Washington, DC 20032 (the “Facility”). This CA was negotiated pursuant to Section 9006 of RCRA, to settle violations of RCRA Subtitle I, and the District of Columbia’s federally-authorized UST program by Respondent. On September 15, the Regional Judicial Officer issued a Final Order (“FO”) accepting the CA. Respondent will pay a civil penalty in the amount of $2,621.00 and come into compliance with the applicable regulations. Together, the CA/FO initiated and concluded this matter. This case is part of the District of Columbia underground storage tank enforcement initiative.
