EPA v. FARM AND HOME OIL SPILL SITE - GLOBAL FACILITY

Case summary

On July 23, 2007, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region III, (AEPA@) issued three Administrative Orders by Consent, which require four parties to investigate and remove oil contamination at the Farm and Home Oil Spill Site in Macungie, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania (ASite@). The three Orders address contamination at four oil storage and distribution terminals defined in the Orders as Farm and Home Oil Terminals 1, 2 and 3, and the Global Facility (collectively, the ASite Facilities@). EPA is issuing these Orders to Farm and Home Oil Company, CRL Holdings, L.P., Global Companies LLC and Pipeline Petroleum Inc., pursuant to Section 311(c) and (e) of the Clean Water Act, as amended, (ACWA@), 33 U.S.C. ' 1321(c) and (e), and Section 7003(a) of the Resource, Conservation and Recovery Act, as amended, (ARCRA@), 42 U.S.C. ' 6973(a).
