Case summary

The Division Director for the SEMD signed the ESD on 01/25/2022 which documents the modifications to the groundwater remedy which includes the removal of a small localized source of PCB and TCE contaminated soil. To avoid the potential continued leaching of VOCs to groundwater and to avoid a delay in reaching cleanup levels and site closure, a targeted soil removal is planned. This ESD is for the removal of approximately 450 tons of soil in an area estimated to be 50 ft x 25 ft x 6 ft. The estimated cost for this removal is $256,000.
