On October 7, 2002, the Acting Regional Administrator signed EPA���s Responsiveness Summary following the close of the public comment period on the proposed settlement in the Federal Register on May 21, 2002. EPA received no comments on the Administrative Order on Consent (AOC) with UGI Corporation and UGI Utilities, Inc.(���UGI���) pursuant to Section 122(h)(1) of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980, as amended (���CERCLA���) for the Robesonia Mercury Spill Site (���Site���). The effective date of the settlement agreement is October 7, 2002, the date EPA issued to UGI notice that comments from the public did not require alteration or withdrawal of the settlement agreement. Under the settlement, UGI, as the owner of the unmarked and abandoned natural gas regulator left inside a building that released the mercury, agreed to pay $13,499.42 which represents 50% of EPA���s total Response Cos
