Case summary

Respondent is a petroleum product and petrochemical manufacturing facility and is a joint occupant with Ocean Point Terminal (OPT) of the Facility. Industrial operations occupy approximately 25 acres of the land area of the Facility based in St. Croix, USVI. The Facility was inspected by EPA on 5/3-7/2021 and revealed that the facility discharges storm water associated with an industrial activity and has failed to secure the appropriate NPDES permit to operate while discharging pollutants in a water of the US. EPA has taken enforcement action against the Operator by issuing ACO, CWA-02-2023-3104 on July 21, 2023, requiring the Respondent to come into full compliance with applicable regulations of the CWA.
