On May 23 ? 25, 2023 and June 5 - 6, 2023, EPA conducted an Audit of the Town?s MS4 and identified violations of the MS4 General Permit, including failure to inspect all outfalls within 5 years, failure to develop a complete SWMP Plan, failure to implement a catch basin cleaning program, failure to maintain records, failure to implement a post-construction program that ensures adequate O&M of private practices, inadequate BMPs at municipal facilities, and failure to conduct and document self assessments, as required. The Order requires the Town to come into compliance with the MS4 General Permit in accordance with a compliance schedule.
