Case summary
On December 3, 2019 and December 4, 2019, EPA conducted an Audit of the Respondent's MS4. This information request and administrative compliance order is being issued to address violations of the NJDEP NJPDES Tier A Municipal Stormwater General Permit including: failure to develop and implement an MSWMP and SPPP, failure to adopt and enforce required ordinances, failure to implement Best Management Practices at municipal operations, failure to implement an employee training program, failure to develop and implement an Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination Program and failure to develop and implement a program to ensure long-term cleaning and operation of municipally-owned stormwater facilities. The Order requires the Township to comply with the terms and conditions of the MS4 General Permit. The NJDEP accompanied EPA on the Audit and are supportive of this action.
